INSURANCE WORK

Storm or flood damage can be devastating, whether it happens to a major historic treasure or to ones own home. At Plaster Restorations we recognise the importance of putting the building back together sympathetically, to a state and condition the property was in prior to the damage occurring. Original materials and working methods can be utilised in order to achieve this result. We also understand the need to work efficiently and with the least fuss so that the building or domestic property can be re-commissioned as expediently as possible under the circumstances.

Weetwood Hall Hotel & Conference Centre – after repair

Storm or flood damage can wreathe havoc to a public building or domestic home. The sooner the problem is dealt with, then the greater the chances are that the damage can be minimized. We know at Plaster Restorations that only an effective long lasting repair will prevent future problems.

Water damaged plasterwork needs to be stripped-out and replaced. We can use sand / lime / horsehair and wooden laths, using traditional working methods. Cornicework and mouldings can be re-created to exactly match originals by using fibrous plaster.

Storm or flood damage can result in the collapse of a ceiling or the need to replace the full area. This can sometimes be carried-out while very carefully, working up to and retaining moulded plasterwork.

This home has now been very carefully restored to its original splendour, the new plasterwork seamlessly blending-in with the original features. The results can be seen for themselves!
